My animal crossing fan theory is that Redd never sells you genuine art. He sells you very good fakes and absolutely horrific fakes and profits immensely from them. That’s why every town gets a copy of Starry Night, its not because it’s a video game, it’s because Redd’s got this tomfoolery to a science:
